Architect’s Desk returns to the building it designed.

An Antiques Wrought Iron Gate decorated with shield shaped cartouche to the top above all over leaves and vines realised £1,200.  The gate had architectural interest and attracted several online and room bidders before the hammer fell. Lot 85 and lot 87, both Antique Wrought Iron Scrolled Gates of architectural interest made £480 and £300 respectively, significantly out selling their auction estimate of £50 – £70.

Within the Fine Art section, lot 46, a William Darling McKay R.S.A (Scottish 1844-1924) “Potato Planting in East Lothian” oil on canvas sold for over £600 and a Frank Watson Wood (1862-1953) “Berwickshire Coast, Towards St Abbs Head and Fast Castle” Watercolour realised over £400.

Antique furniture continued to attract strong prices with an Oak Draw Leaf Dining Table (estimated at £100 – £150) attracting several bidders online and in the room before the hammer fell at £350.  Lot 89, A Vintage Oak Printing Chest, estimated at £50 – £80, attracted several online bidders before the hammer fell at £240 and Lot 105 George III Mahogany Chest of Drawers, made £260 from an estimate of £150 – £200.  A stunning Set of Eight Chippendale style Mahogany Dining Chairs, realised £260 to the room.
